With over three decades of experience, we have developed and manage a comprehensive network of skilled and knowledgeable quality professionals throughout the region that are flexible to assist with both short and long-term projects. No matter the need we are committed to helping you with your quality concerns.
MIO Engineering AS' quality engineers and surveyors offer applicable industry experience related to steel construction, onshore process industry, offshore fixed and floating installations/vessels, maritime wind power, fish farming related and more. Available with little notice, our resources are deployed on-site where you need them, when you need them.
MIO Engineering AS' quality engineers inspect product at different stages in the production process. At vendor premises, the quality of workmanship and the conformity of products to specified codes, standards or documents are verified.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
One appropriate method for verifying material quality before assembling components is Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
NDT is an indispensable technique for assessing either the quality of new constructions and products or the status of assets in service as a means of preventive maintenance.
Our depth of experienced personnel offer, amongst other, monitoring of the NDT activity in your project.
MIO Engineering AS' NTO registration number is N-312 and covers the NDT methods VT, PT, MT, RT and UT according to ISO 9712. We have our own level 3 and level 2 NDT personnel including IWI-S/NS477 visual weld inspectors.
Surface treatment inspection.
Through inspections and controls we assure that surface treatment and coating meet the standards and specifications our clients have set for the project. Our coating inspectors are certified according to NS (Norwegian Standard) 476 level III, and steel inspectors according to NS 477. We also provide project leadership and foremen for ongoing surface treatment and scaffolding operations. Our clients quite often commission us to create schedules, specifications and budgets for maintenance, which can be quite comprehensive and require competent and efficient personnel.
The main goals of Quality Control inspections are to ensure that performance standards meet set criteria which regulatory bodies and the organization itself have set.
MIO Engineering AS offer product inspection services including pre-production inspections and pre-shipment inspections, typical:
* Review of specifications, procedures, and specified standards to be utilized.
* Review of Welding, NDT Procedures and Welder Qualification.
